Rules

Rules don’t always serve us well.   Too often we become too focused on the little stuff that we lose site of the big picture.  Rules and process are important, they keep things moving, they can simplify and create continuity.  They can also become antiquated and useless over time.

Rules have a shelf-life.   They need to be reviewed regularly.   Do they still serve their purpose?  Are they beneficial or have they outlasted their value?

What rules do you still enforce?   Are they helping you, or are they making you and the organization look foolish?

Please keep the gate closed!
