On Vacation . . .

K, it’s been 4 days since my last post.  It’s weird to think I haven’t posted in that long.  I would be surprised if it’s not the longest period without a post. I feel guilty when I don’t post, it feels like I’m letting the community down.

I’m on a semi-vacation until the 7th of January. “Semi” means I’m working with my existing clients, but not doing much operational work for ASGC (A Sales Guy Consulting.)

In spite of my vacation, I’m not going to let 4 more days pass without a post, that’s a promise.

I’m gonna end this post with an email I got from a sales person at one of my clients.

Hello Jim,

I hope this message finds you and A Sales Guy well!

The purpose of my email is to let you know that I think of you every day as I put your strategies/tactics to work in my sales process.  As a sales coach, you have made a tremendous impact on my sales career.  As a result of your strategies, my sales cycles have shortened, my revenue commit accuracy has improved (at 100% now!), I’m spending less time with indecisive tire-kickers, and I’m speaking in clients’ language and getting to the core of their pain (and the solution).  What more can I say?

Thank you, Jim, for doing what you do….your gifts keep giving.  I invite you to use me as a reference and to publically post this email.

I love getting these emails. The best part of my job is watching sales people and sales organization succeed and go boom!

Thanks for your patience this week and I hope everyone had a great holiday!
