Your Job……….Love It or Leave It

How many times have you felt the anxiety on a Sunday night that tomorrow is a work day?  You feel the dread of waking up and going into the office to a job you can’t stand.  And I already know what you are thinking, “so what, I need this job to pay my bills.”  It doesn’t have to be that way. Since joining the team at ASG, I feel like we are making a difference in people’s lives by finding them the dream jobs they want.  I’m not saying the economy is strong or there are perfect jobs for everyone, but I will say that the market for sales jobs and job seekers is strong. Today’s blog is a little personal because I wanted to write about ASG and what we do to try and improve the quality of life for people.  I don’t want to come off pompous or self righteous,  but I do truly believe that because of our company’s vision and mission, we help companies find great sales talent and great sales people to find their perfect job.  So how do we do this? First and foremost, we at ASG are ALL sales people.  I have personally been in sales for almost twenty years and have been an individual contributor, senior executive, and lately a business consultant helping to turn around companies through their sales departments.  This experience gives us a unique position when speaking with both Clients and Candidates.  The old adage “it takes one to know one” is more true than you know.  Who do you think has a better chance at recruiting an “A” level sales person; a recruiter that has been recruiting every position a company has or a sales person?   Sales people have a style and language all their own, and it really does take one to know one.  We do one thing and one thing only at ASG; we talk to sales people and find them the right sales job. What I love most about my job at ASG is that I get to play puzzle master and put together the right candidate piece with the right company piece and make a perfect fit.  I can’t wait to go to work each and every day.  We are not your typical recruiting firm, we are tenacious, we are gritty, we are unstoppable.  When we find a great candidate, we will not stop until we have found them their dream job. I can’t possibly explain to you how rewarding it is to get to know someone and find them an incredible job that they can’t wait to get to on Monday morning.  So for you reading my blog today I have a question for you…………..Do you hate Mondays?  You have to love it or leave it.
