THE ONE New Marketing Strategy You Need To Change The Game

The shift from the industrial age to the information or digital age has swiftly impacted every facet of everyday life for everybody living in today’s developed world. The way we interact with people across the globe and the very structure of how we do business are changing rapidly.  As a careerist, as the architect of your own life, what’s your move: fight or flight? Do you face the music or plug your ears and tune it out? With every day that passes and every innovation in the internet-of-things, it becomes more and more vital to adapt the way you market and run your business (or yourself, if you still find yourself working for the man). Sure, you’ve got your iPhone 6 and a Facebook account, but you’re going to need a lot more than that to implement social media lead generation and customer relationship management systems and processes. There are countless new, innovative and effective ways to reach out and touch your prospective clients; in fact, the sheer number of new methods to market your business can be intimidating. So I’m just going to tell you about my FAVORITE strategy, that has proven to be the most effective for the A Sales Guy brand: video marketing. I’ll tell you how we use video, what impact we’ve seen on our business, and share our favorite video tool we use and why. A Sales Guy Video Strategy Start Video Marketing Keenan, the president and Chief Antagonizer at A Sales Guy, is a sales consultant and keynote (amongst many other things). Our brand has wholeheartedly embraced the power of video, since 2011, when YouTube was king and live video streaming was only for networks and Netflix. Today, it seems we’re debating experimenting with a new live streaming tool every month, the content now fueled by Joe Plumber, you and me. When A$G does decide to implement a new tool in our marketing strategy, we keep two key goals in mind: to create interactive, value-ridden content and to stimulate and nurture community engagement. A lot of our video content can still be found on our YouTube channel: Pre-recorded Sales Tips, Tricks and Free Advice | Killer Insights to Make Your Number: Short, direct, informative and insightful sales videos to help you make your number. Most are less than 2 minutes. Everyone has 2 mins. Quick Hit Videos w/ Killer Free eBooks: Each of these short videos has a killer eBook to help you get the most out of your sales efforts. Check out A Sales Guy U and download the eBooks. If you have a website, create landing pages for each of your videos, promote, and capture the leads generated. Live Interviews Featuring Badass Thought Leaders (THIS is where we get our audience INVOLVED in our video content) | The WORD: A Jolt of Sales 411 w/ Keenan #SalesJolt: Live, freestyle event w/ @keenan & @wutangbunny. Every 2 weeks, you can join in on a lively discussion w/ a badass thought leader in sales, entrepreneurship, small business growth, psychology and behavior, and so much more. #TaughtLeaders: Get Taught w/ Keenan (Book: Not Taught): Much of what’s in Not Taught (Keenan’s new personal development book available on is new. It’s new ways of thinking. It’s new tools. It’s new ideas. It’s new approaches and it’s new methodologies. And all of it’s hard to do. This is a bi-weekly series where Keenan sits down live with the industry experts who are already winning using the tools and ideas in Not Taught. The rest of the videos we shoot are pure community engagement. This is where we get a little more experimental with our tools and are basically a little Direct Message with a personal face and voice. $$$ The IMPACT $$$ A Sales Guy really revved up our efforts with video in 2015 and the results are in. We introduced The WORD, #heykeenan and now in 2016, #TaughtLeaders. Since significantly increasing the quality and quantity of our video content, we’re running at a 560% year-over-year run rate. Within the first two months of 2016, we’ve already earned 46% of the total revenue earned in 2015. Bottom line – we’re crushing it because of the higher quality leads attracted to our video content…and you can too. It certainly takes a huge investment of time and depending on your video quality, it can cut into your marketing budget too. It is however, worth every second/cent. Growth Catalyst Our Favorite Video Tool at A Sales Guy Hands down, a live-streaming game changer. Blab rocks because you pick your level of engagement and can work your way up to hosting your own shows. There are 3 levels of engagement: chatroom (reminiscent of AOL chatroom days), social media broadcast (easily invite your Twitter & FB friends to join the conversation). And then there’s the best part: getting in front of the camera. Get your feet wet by popping in other people’s shows and work your way up to developing your own content. Think of the opening credits of The Brady Bunch – there are 4 squares, where anyone and everyone from the audience can pop in and join the feed. #TaughtLeaders Lesson 1, Twitter You won’t believe who’s living rooms and offices you’ll pop into! I’ve met and shot the shit with Speidi from The Hills (I died), Fish Scales & Chris Weeks from Nappy Roots, career idols of mine like Chris Brogan and Shame Hyder and so many more people I’d never have had the opportunity to bump minds with outside of social media. It’s a beautiful thing – take full advantage and your bottom line (and your contact list) will thank you. We host The WORD #SalesJolt & #TaughtLeaders on – visit our page to subscribe to our upcoming shows. If you want a #TaughtLeaders show schedule sent straight to your inbox, join our Not Taught tribe.
