NO is the Biggest Little Word in Business!

I ran the BolderBoulder today.  In a word, it was fun.   This was my first race and I realized I like running more than I thought I did.  It’s social but I still get to zone out within myself.  It’s the perfect balance for me.  Plus, the BolderBoulder is just a super fun race; bands and food and all sorts of things going on along the course.  Fun is underrated with adults.  It’s important to keep our sanity in the day-to-day we all get swept up in- all of it; the work part and the personal part.  Professionally, it’s not always easy to have fun.  I talked about culture, and the importance of it- From Culture To Cult-ish.  Fun isn’t always part of most workplaces, even if the leaders of the organization support it.  If it’s forced, it becomes cultish and if it’s not real fun it’s just not fun.  It’s gotta be an engrained part of the people that make up the organization. At A Sales Guy Recruiting, we take our work seriously, but we also keep it  and fun.  Keenan, our CEO is a ski junkie, and our lead recruiter lives in Vail.  We’re all very “Colorado” and enjoy enjoying ourselves.  Our newest recruiter relocated to Colorado just for the killer slopes.  Can’t get any better than that.  Our back yard is a playground.  It really is amazing.
